You are walking through Duke Gardens to get back to your car. It's pitch black and needless to say you're a bit freaked out about all that darkness. You are cold in the November night air, hungry and ready for dinner. It's a good thing your boyfriend was able to stop by and give you a ride home after your friend Hannah (your ride that evening) had to rush to a class meeting.
Your boyfriend stops and pauses. You ask him what's wrong. I mean it's pitch black. Are we lost?
Suddenly 10,00 white lights light up the darkness. And time stands still. Though moments before you felt lost in the nighttime darkness, you now realize exactly where you are, at the gazebo where he first told you how he felt about you.
An ice sculpture with your monogram and a cross carved into two hearts also lights up behind you. What is going on? And in an instance you get it. It's one of those moments every little girl dreams about. But this one, this one is surreal.
He drops to one knee and you barely hear a word he says. And you don't even notice the sound of the hidden photographer's camera clicking away as every moment, every look, ever emotion is captured.
Though your head and heart are spinning with excitement, you manage to squeak out a weak "yes".
And happily Forever After begins.
2 years ago today Mike asked me to be his wife. And it's the best job offer I've ever received.

Best closing line EVER! I'm so happy you took the job! and I know Jedidiah is thrilled too!
Thank you so much! :) I'm so happy I took the job and I'm so happy you took your new position as Mrs. Schryver. By the way, I loudly said "Jedidiah" in Target today.
