Tiny Cupid

This is how I was greeted on Valentine's Day my own tiny cupid who brought a sticky note of her own artistic scribbles which Mike so kindly translated as "I love you".

How did I get to be so lucky to share life with these two?

Happy Valentine's Day From Our Little Nugget of Love

Here's a Very Happy Valentine's Day wish from our little nugget of love. Our nugget of love who doesn't have any idea what Valentine's Day is. Our nugget of love who has had a very rough week thanks to molars. Ah, nothing as lovely as one of the biggest snows I have seen in North Carolina in years to lock me and my very cranky teething toddler inside for days.  I am so kidding. It was rough. I may have had a mommy melt down. Okay, maybe I had several. And large amounts of stress eating involving chocolate may have occurred while my nugget of love refused to nap during the day or sleep at night.

Well, let me just say it's a good thing I got a few good Valentine's themed photos of my little one before those nasty molars got to business...

Happy Valentine's Day!

They See Me Rolling With My Daddy

Caroline has reached that stage of toddlerhood I'd only heard tell of till now. But now I get it, first hand. That temper tantrums in every store, screaming, thrashing, I want to run down the aisles of the store and take everything off the shelves as fast as I can stage of toddlerhood. To say grocery shopping has become a challenge would be modest.

So when I can I call in backup and get some grocery shopping done on the weekend when Daddy can entertain the little monkey and I can grocery shop.

Whenever we do this Daddy enjoys finding accessories for Caroline...

"My future is so bright I have to wear sunglasses."

Moms of toddler help me do you get any shopping done with an escapee toddler on your hands?

Museum of Life & Science

For Christmas Grandma gave us a membership to the Museum of Life & Science in Durham. And since then it's become a weekly tradition to go there with Caroline's bestie, O and O's mommy. I have such fun memories of visiting the museum as a child, and now sharing new memories there with Caroline is truly special.

Looks like an angel to me.

But let me be the first to tell you she does not always act like an angel. This girl knows how to throw a tantrum. Keeping it real, y'all.

Two little pink bears with Max the Jersey cow.

In my favorite part of the museum, The Butterfly House.

How our life looks most days. This girl is on the go. Which is making getting any type of errand very difficult. She is not a happy girl stuck in a grocery cart of stroller for more than 10 minutes. And when I let her loose she's off. Have a little understanding for those moms with screaming kids in the grocery cart. We're trying. So give us a smile or a helping hand. But please, don't stare or give us looks.

Caroline decided she wanted to hold Olive's hand.

Nothing beats an afternoon spent with good friend for mommy and one for Caroline.
